Job Summary: Rolls-Royce Solutions UK Ltd Marine supports sales and service of advanced propulsion and power systems across various sectors. The Field Service Engineer acts as an ambassador, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, including installation, commissioning, and testing of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Carry out commissioning, service, and repair of IPMS/AMS, propulsion, and power systems.
* Install and commission switchboards and power management systems on vessels.
* Perform maintenance and fault diagnosis on electrical systems.
* Support team development, continuous improvement, and adhere to processes.
* Provide emergency on-call support.
* Compile detailed technical reports.
* Identify root causes of faults and resolve issues.
* Use diagnostic tools effectively.
* Support other service and sales activities, including meetings.
* Manage stock of parts and equipment.
* Perform duties in the workshop as needed.
* Guide and support colleagues in-field.
* Undertake technical training as required.
Person Profile: Proactive, enthusiastic, with strong communication skills, able to work independently or in teams. Culturally sensitive, technically competent in marine propulsion and power products, electrical and mechanical skills, experience with switchboards, and diagnostics. Willing to travel extensively within the UK & ROI and overseas, including product training in Germany. Physically capable, disciplined, and high standards of professionalism. Proficient in MS Office, report writing, and hold a full clean driving license and current passport. Fluent in English, literate, numerate, with relevant electrical qualifications or industry experience. Must pass CONDO training and obtain MoD Security Clearance. GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required.
This is a permanent position. Extensive travel may be required.
