Job Description
The role involves undertaking various responsibilities related to learning skills development within the hospitality sector. The specific duties will be outlined upon appointment and may be adjusted to meet the college’s needs in consultation with the post holder.
Conditions of Service
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff. All successful applicants will undergo checks including an enhanced DBS, two references (one from your current or most recent employer), and qualification validation.
Salary
The salary range is from £32,333 to £34,974 per annum pro rata. Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience. Salary increases are annual and incremental after passing probation.
Hours of Work
22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Annual Leave
25 days plus eight public holidays, with an additional five days at the discretion of the Principal. After two years of service, entitlement increases to 30 days. Staff are generally limited to three consecutive weeks of leave unless in exceptional circumstances with approval.
Pension Scheme
Occupational pension under the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Probationary Period
9 months, including mandatory induction and training sessions covering equality, safeguarding, GDPR, cyber security, and health & safety.
Qualifications and Checks
Qualifications will be validated through correspondence with educational institutions. Staff must have at least Level 2 in English and Maths or obtain it during employment. Online checks and a Disclosure & Barring Service check are required, with costs deducted from salary.
