About the role
We have high aspirations and standards for ourselves, and our learners and this role will be a key one in supporting the colleges mission to be consistently great and ensure our students get the qualifications and skills they need to go further in employment, careers, apprenticeships, further training, and university level courses.
This role is responsible for collation, storage, formatting and presentation of High Needs funding information for each student (Element 2 and 3). As well monitoring and ensuring compliance of statutory processes in relation to Education Health and Care Plans.
You will work closely with the Head of SEND and ALS who will oversee the operational running of the department supported by EHCP Funding Coordinator who will store and collate the necessary information on request.
The current key objectives for the role are:
to support the SEND team in a busy, fast-paced curriculum area
to meet the operational needs of the compliance and funding regarding statutory processes set out in the SEND Code of Practice and from the Local Authority.
support the Head of SEND &ALS in meeting the financial targets of the department in particular the accounting for the High Needs Budget.
maintain statutory compliance with respect to the Child and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of SEND and ALS, this post will contribute to the colleges common goals.
To achieve this, specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the High Needs students in receipt of High Needs Funding are fully resourced appropriately by ensuring accountability for the provision set out in the respective funding.
Maintain an excellent standard of support to the SEND team
Take ownership collating, maintain and managing the costed data so that income and costs are in line with budgetary constraints
Provide information to the Head of SEND/ALS so that they can deploy resources within the team effectively and efficiently, working with key strengths of individuals
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as required with specific focus on the Local Authority.
Compliance with The Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2014.
Ensure controls are in place to ensure that financial returns are completed in order to meet internal financial deadlines liaise with finance to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Attend departmental management meetings where required
Any other duties commensurate with the role
What we can offer you
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £27,654 - £32,272 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
