The Role You'll Play: As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer role, youll join a team who specialise in the design of some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, youll provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, workplace, retail and critical systems (data centres). Under the guidance of our team of experienced engineers, well equip you to undertake detailed mechanical building services engineering design and analysis, define and translate clients needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services (ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems and more) - all with sustainability at the forefront of the design. Youll have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and with accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IMechE youll be fully supported towards achieving chartership. The Skills You'll Bring: On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree. Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Have a passion about innovative and sustainable mechanical engineering for the built environment. Possessing a desire for personal and professional development, youll have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. Digital engineering is a big focus at Cundall, so ideally, youll have an understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB). You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines. Collaborative in nature, youll be able to empathise with your clients needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. Youre used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude. Whats in it for you?
