We are searching for an exceptional candidate, with a strong background in Food & Beverage, to join our client's expanding team to contribute to the expansion of a major coffee franchise in the United States and United Kingdom.
This is an exciting role to work directly with the CEO and collaborate with senior leadership to influence financial strategy. The Head of Finance will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis functions of the company and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision making across the organization by providing valuable insights around performance, projections, and modelling.
The Head of Finance will have high visibility within the organization with opportunities for career growth as the company continues to build out the Finance team and expand the major coffee franchise across the United States and United Kingdom.
International and local travel will be required from time to time.
Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company alongside a team
Identify and research variances to budgeted and historical year metrics and accounts while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
Develop the teams work on financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards across different states (e.g. Identify and mitigate financial risks locally and cross border, including moving funds with currency/FX risk, tax, and operational risks.
Discover and manage key data sources (systems, databases, individuals) across the organization and enterprise systems
Identify and analyze general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
Manage Insurance Policies and Claims
Manage cash bank relationships
Lead the coordination of the annual audit and preparation of the annual tax returns.
Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures
Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences
Perform ad hoc analysis and functionality as needed for strategic planning, special projects, and management reports
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, CPA or MBA preferred, though not essential
Minimum of five 5 - 7 years of progressive responsibility in a Finance leadership role
Familiarity with multi-unit or location-driven business models
Solid technical skills with proficiency in Excel, Business Intelligent tools and Accounting ERPs (Restaurant 365 preferred but not mandatory)
Experience developing financial reports and metrics including budgets and KPI dashboards
Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions and raising capital, big plus though not essential
High value placed on attention-to-detail and delivering high-quality, accurate work product
Salary: £70,000 + Bonus based on performance
