Our product management team comprises technologists passionate about delivering products that shape market demands and promote open source software globally. Juju is an open source orchestration engine for deploying, integrating, and managing applications at any scale, on any infrastructure using charms. It is used by clients, partners, and communities for infrastructure and application deployment across various substrates.
This role is responsible for the commercial strategy and marketing leadership of our cloud native operations products, including:
* Juju - the open source orchestration engine for software operators
* Identity management - authentication, authorization, and identity governance across Ubuntu One SSO and other products
* Observability - strategy for tracing and system health diagnostics
Location: Remote in the EMEA region, with expectations to be based there.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading the product lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals.
2. Collaborating with engineering leads on product development.
3. Working with cross-functional teams to address challenges, align priorities, and ensure business execution.
4. Conducting market research, analyzing trends, and gathering customer feedback.
5. Developing your team through coaching, mentoring, and training.
6. Establishing KPIs for project reporting and communicating progress.
7. Driving continuous improvement and execution excellence.
8. Contributing to strategies for high performing teams.
9. Supporting sales in winning opportunities through customer feedback and meetings.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in product management within open source and cloud native domains.
* Experience managing software operations for large distributed systems.
* Knowledge of cloud native tech like Kubernetes and Docker.
* Understanding of enterprise security and compliance requirements.
* Proven leadership in technical teams.
* Passion for technology and developer marketing.
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year.
Nice-to-have skills include CNCF project experience, a passion for technology, ownership, problem-solving, and visionary leadership.
