Machine Setter Washington £15 per hour Our client in Washington is looking for an injection moulding machine setter.You would be responsible for setting up mould tools at the start of each production run and serving as the primary technical resource and key problem-solver during the production shift. Main duties and responsibilities include: Adopt a safety-first approach in all activities to safeguard the health and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, and site visitors. Use technical expertise to set up each job with a strong focus on quality and machine performance, ensuring optimal operating conditions at the start of every run. Perform tool changes, setting tools in line with validated parameters, SOPs, and customer specifications. Between discrete set-ups, monitor the performance of multiple tools across production and proactively address actual or potential issues. Complete all required documentation accurately at the beginning, during, and end of each shift. Maintain agreed quality standards, promptly identifying and resolving any non-conformances. Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement effective solutions. Act as a technical point of contact, providing guidance on queries, troubleshooting, and decision-making. Support team development by demonstrating best practices, monitoring performance, and encouraging new skill acquisition. Promote high standards of housekeeping and ensure compliance with procedures and agreed working practices. Physical demands include: Role involves prolonged periods standing, with regular reaching, bending, grasping, tool use, and movement throughout the factory. Ability to safely lift and handle up to 15kg of plastic raw materials as required. Good manual dexterity for handling components and operating cutting or assembly tools. Adequate visual acuity (including with glasses/lenses) to read instructions, operate machinery, and inspect finished parts. Qualification/Certificates Required Safe operation of overhead cranes certificate preferred Fork lift licence desirable but not essential 3 Shift Pattern: Day Shift - Monday Friday 7am 3pm Night Shift - Sunday Thursday 11pm - 7:10am Late Shift - Monday Friday 3pm - 11:10pm
