Senior Technician - Process and Water Treatment

Duration: Temp to perm (initial 14-week temporary contract)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join the team at CCEP Edmonton. The role involves maintaining and improving process and water treatment areas and their machinery, ensuring production targets are met in performance, quality, yield, and environmental standards.
This position is initially a 14-week temporary contract, with a work pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off for day shifts. Training will be conducted Monday to Friday.
* Qualified or experienced apprentice-served Engineer.
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
* At least 3 years of hands-on technical experience in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support new initiatives and programmes as required.
* Provide technical support for maintenance tasks and critical cleaning processes.
* Complete all asset care tasks as per the Maintenance Execution Plan.
* Supervise and support Operators and Technician Operators in executing the Maintenance Plan.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis when necessary.
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance to meet efficiency, availability, yield, and quality targets.
* Use the site Maintenance Management System (SAPPM) effectively.
* Carry out Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety checks, escalating non-conformances promptly.
* Participate in stock checks and manage held stock procedures.
* Contribute to environmental and safety risk assessments upon request.
* Segregate recyclable waste materials.
* Follow safety best practices to ensure a safe working environment with zero accidents.
* Maintain personal hygiene standards suitable for the food industry.
* Perform pre-use inspections on machinery for safety.
* Share best practices with team members to improve yield, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Utilize line monitoring and trending tools to enhance performance and address issues.
* Operate all machinery as required, including start-ups, change-overs, and shutdowns.
* Support utilities and facility operations when needed.
* Participate in shift hand-overs and team briefings to ensure effective communication.
