About Us The Vale of Glamorgan is welcoming applications within its Flying Start Programme. Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded programme and is available in targeted areas supporting all families to give 0-3-year olds a Flying Start in life. The programme aims to provide intensive support services for children and their families. The focus of the programme is on promoting language, cognitive, social and emotional skills, physical development and the early identification of high needs. This is achieved through the delivery of health support and guidance, parenting groups and support and free part time childcare. Flying Start is based within the ‘Early Help and Prevention’ strand within Children and Young Peoples Services. About The Role Pay Details: Grade 4 £24,790 - £25,584 Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week Main Place of Work: Barry Temporary Reason: Welsh Government funding until 31.3.2028 Description: To provide front of house duties and undertake day to day running, daily compliance and caretaker responsibilities for the Flying Start Family Centre. To provide administrative support to the Flying Start Programme About You You will need: Experience of office and administration/reception duties Maintaining filing systems and documentation relating to a building Experience of using electronic data storage systems.
