SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: York area
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Part Time and Full Time available
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are recruiting an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist setting in the York area.
About the School
The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. Staff focus on emotional regulation, consistent routines and positive behaviour strategies to help pupils re-engage with learning in a safe and structured environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 SEMH support
* Support emotional regulation strategies
* Implement behaviour support plans
* Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams
* Promote positive relationships and engagement
Requirements
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient and consistent approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
