Interim Senior Treasury Manager - 6 months - London (Hybrid) - up to £500 per day (Umbrella - Inside IR35)
Are you a seasoned treasury professional ready to lead a critical function within a global business environment? Our client is seeking an interim Senior Treasury Manager to oversee and continuously improve its treasury operations, drive process optimisation, and ensure robust risk management across all legal entities and operating units.
Role Overview:
As Interim Senior Treasury Manager you'll lead the end-to-end treasury function, including cash management, forecasting, policy development, and financial risk mitigation. You'll also spearhead initiatives to streamline processes and strengthen working capital, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class treasury support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily cash management; ensure liquidity and optimise cash handling processes.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting models (including rolling 13-week and annual forecasts).
3. Prepare and analyse treasury-related financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
4. Manage financial transactions and leverage automation to drive efficiency.
5. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (currency, credit, commodity).
6. Maintain and negotiate relationships with banks and financial institutions.
7. Design, enforce, and continuously improve treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
8. Lead, coach, and develop a team of two direct reports, plus collaborate with managed service provider resources.
9. Work with accounting, audit, FP&A, tax, and other teams to ensure compliance, process excellence, and optimal financial planning.
Experience & Skills Required:
10. 5+ years' experience in corporate treasury at Manager or Senior Manager level in a global business.
11. Recognised treasury qualification (preferred but not required),
12. Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., D365).
14. Deep attention to detail; proven organisational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous priorities and meet deadlines.
15. Ability to draft and evolve treasury policies; high awareness of regulatory frameworks.
16. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
17. Experience leading a team and driving process improvement initiatives.
