You will be joining a forward-thinking and innovative Tier 1 contractor who are a leading provider of full life-cycle engineering. They are heavily involved within the highways industry and are a principal contractor on the Area 7 National Highways Maintenance and Repair contract which involves low value but high volume schemes such as drainage, street lighting and vegetation clearance.
Your new role
You will be working as a Construction Manager on the National Highways Area 7 Maintenance and Repair contract. You will be heavily involved in delivering Minor Capital Investment Schemes including drainage, paving, structures, soft estates and more. You will be responsible for providing regular updates to the Project Manager on risks, early warnings and design related issues whilst acting as the first point of escalation for on-site issues after conducting site inspections and implementing safety measures for workers and the public. Furthermore, you will interpret scheme drawings and documents whilst coordinating and managing subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience on National Highways projects working as a Construction Manager or Project Manager. For this role in particular, they are looking for a confident individual who has strongmunication and stakeholder management skills. Furthermore, you will have the correct qualifications such as CSCS Black Card and SMSTS.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will get the opportunity to work for a Tier One contractor on the National Highways Area 7 Maintenance and Repair contract. The contract runs until the end of January. However, with the workload, it will more than likely be extended. You will receive apetitive rate and have the opportunity to receive Hays temporary worker benefits.
