JOB TITLE: TRANSPORT COMPLIANCE AND SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
ABOUT THE ROLE
A brief summary
Driving compliance and scheduling are vital to our organization. This role is essential in planning and scheduling Heavy Goods drivers to ensure successful logistics execution, timely arrival at venues, safety, and legal compliance.
This position focuses on Golf logistics planning, supporting the team during peak seasons, and providing guidance during low seasons. You will advise the Head of Department on concerns, suggest improvements, and identify opportunities for continual enhancement.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Book schedules and plan routes safely and legally, including additional vehicles, double drives, and inter-company travel.
* Update ferry schedules seasonally and communicate changes to harbor shipping.
* Record ferry costs, GMRs, ENS costs, and other expenses into job costs.
* Book HGV drivers for golf and other logistics.
* Arrange driving permits for Sunday evening dispensations as required.
* Coordinate with the Fleet Department for PMIs and update the Golf Department accordingly. Book additional drivers if needed.
* Log all driver days off accurately in logistics and crewing systems.
* Update job costs for all event-related drivers and riggers.
* Prepare driver itineraries for each event.
* Request flights, hotels, taxis, and other logistics via internal teams.
* Book hire cars and record costs into job costs.
* Distribute itineraries timely and update crew sheets for production managers and clients.
* Notify relevant departments of truck departures/returns and other updates.
* Implement and monitor driver behavior and compliance systems, overseeing hours, checks, and defect reporting.
* Escalate urgent issues to senior management as needed.
This role is for you if
* You hold or are working towards a CPC Manager (National/International) Qualification.
* You have a background/experience in transport compliance.
* You have experience in scheduling and booking drivers.
* You are a credible communicator, comfortable influencing management.
* You focus on continuous improvement, challenge the status quo, and lead discussions.
* You work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and drivers.
* You possess proficient IT skills, including telematics and compliance systems.
* You hold a full UK driving license.
