What we do:
This role is at our Bakkavor Meals site based in Old Leake, specializing in making chilled Italian ready meals and modern deli products for dedicated customers.
About the role:
We manufacture a wide range of high-quality chilled products. Our production lines are non-stop, so you’ll be kept busy creating our products. You’ll enjoy plenty of variety and be supported to achieve your full potential.
Factory Team Leader duties may include:
* Encouraging a safe working environment by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group Health and Safety policy.
* Ensuring team performance to quality standards in terms of GMP, food safety, product quality, and housekeeping.
* Managing performance and attendance of the team, including disciplinary actions and absence management.
* Coaching and training operatives in health and safety, food safety standards, and quality procedures.
* Managing improvement activities including KPIs, waste management, and production control processes.
* Ensuring team deployment and performance to standards, managing breaks and shift changeovers.
* Facilitating effective communication within the team.
* Participating in staff recruitment processes and induction.
* Carrying out administrative tasks and producing necessary data/reports.
We’re looking for hardworking people, willing to learn and keen to progress. Familiarity with the demands of a fast-paced production environment and a good understanding of food safety best practices are essential.
About you:
* Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
* Previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience is desirable.
* Drive, motivation, and ambition.
* Experience in Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Ability to be hardworking and a good team player.
* A keen eye for detail and a good understanding of English and Maths.
