People Solutions are currently recruiting for a skilled Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operator to join our client, a secure and well-established engineering business based in Tameside. Shifts:
* Days: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm
* Nights: Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:00am - (Shifts are fixed, not rotating)
Salary: £34,320 per annum + overtime (time and a third weekdays, time and a half weekends)

Day-to-day duties:
As a Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operator, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Setting and operating manual vertical boring machines to produce medium to heavy components
* Working accurately to customer drawings and engineering specifications
* Carrying out self-inspection of work using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
* Supporting production schedules, including regular overtime when required
* Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
* Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
Essential skills:
To be successful as a Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operator, you will need:
* Proven experience in manual vertical boring, or a strong background in turning/lathe work
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Confidence in using measuring equipment for self-inspection
* A strong commitment to health and safety standards
