ECHO Personnel are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for a well-established manufacturing business based in Oakham.
The company is a world leader in the production of synchronous alternators and is looking to strengthen its warehouse team with a reliable and skilled operator working on a 08:0016:30 shift.
THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE
The successful candidate will support goods-in, production line feeding, and despatch operations, including computer-based stock and system administration tasks. This is a varied role that is not 100% forklift driving, and will involve cross-functional warehouse support as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transport and deliver components and parts to production assembly lines
* Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently
* Prepare, pick, and pack customer orders for despatch
* Support goods-in and despatch processes, including system updates
* Assist with stock control, inventory management, and location accuracy
* Maintain correct and safe storage of goods, ensuring SWL compliance
* Use warehouse systems (e.g. SAP or similar WMS) for stock updates and administration
* Identify and report warehouse process issues, suggesting improvements
* Provide flexible support across all warehouse functions as required
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Requirements:
* Valid ITSSAR-accredited Reach Truck licence (essential)
* Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (Desirable)
* Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse operations and stock control
* Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work at pace in a busy manufacturing environment
* Flexible and willing to support occasional overtime/weekend work if required
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude
Hours:
08:00 16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Monday to Friday
Pay Rate:
£28,080 per annum
