KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant – ASD Support (No Behaviour Needs)
Are you a nurturing and patient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Milk Education is working closely with a warm and welcoming Primary School in the L4 area to find a dedicated KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism (ASD) in a Year 1 classroom.
This role is to start in September and will run on a full-time, long-term basis.
About the Role:
1. Working 1:1 with a lovely child in KS1 with a diagnosis of ASD
2. Supporting learning through play-based and structured activities
3. Helping to develop communication, confidence, and independence
4. Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
5. No behaviour support required – this role is purely nurturing and academic/social support
What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD)
7. Knowledge of Early Years or KS1 learning approaches
8. A calm, caring, and encouraging nature
9. A team player who communicates well with staff and families
10. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
