As MannaCare continues to grow and prepare for future expansion, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Assets and Facilities Manager to ensure our physical environments remain safe, compliant, and sustainable across all sites, including future developments. The Role Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Director of Assets and Facilities will lead the planning, maintenance, and strategic management of MannaCare’s buildings, infrastructure, and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring our facilities support quality care delivery, staff wellbeing, and operational excellence. This includes oversight of the Maintenance Team, lifecycle asset management, capital works, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term asset and facilities management strategies aligned with MannaCare’s organisational goals. Facilities Management: Ensure all buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained; oversee maintenance, cleaning, HVAC, and essential building systems. Asset Management: Maintain accurate asset records, lifecycle forecasts, and coordinate asset acquisitions or disposals. Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage both OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance. Compliance & Risk: Ensure facilities meet all regulatory, health, safety, and environmental obligations. Project Management: With strategic direction from the Executive Director, Corporate Services, lead construction, renovation, and upgrade projects. Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Maintenance Team, promoting accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Sustainability: Implement energy-saving and sustainable practices to improve environmental performance. Oversee vendor and contract management, ensuring strong supplier relationships, compliance, and value-for-money service delivery. About You You are a practical, solutions-focused leader with a strong background in facilities and asset management within an aged care, health, or similar environment. You combine technical expertise with strong people and project management skills and take pride in maintaining environments that enable quality care and community connection. You will bring: Relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry) or tertiary qualification in Facilities, Asset, or Project Management. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Facilities or Asset Management role within aged care or healthcare. Proven experience in project management, contract management, and budgeting (OPEX/CAPEX). Strong understanding of compliance, WHS, and building codes. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills. A proactive and collaborative approach to achieving organisational outcomes.
