Detailed job description and main responsibilities

* Being a good role model
* Managing time and workload effectively
* Leading and supporting the nursing team and ward manager
* Ability to cannulate children (essential)
* Student assessor


Person specification


Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

* Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
* Registered nurse on the appropriate register
* Significant post-registration experience, qualification, or training in relevant specialties
* Ward management experience
* Knowledge of current issues in acute health services
* Experience supporting and managing learners in practice
* Experience supporting colleagues in learning and development
* Commitment to the post and Care Group responsibilities
* Clinical decision-making and judgment skills
* Commitment to continuing professional development
* Experience handling adverse events and complaints
* Experience acting as a Practice Assessor or supporting learner progression
* Some insight into budget management
