Maths Teacher Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, North Yorkshire, Redcar Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time Industry: Education and Training Salary: £170 - £260 per day Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join an educational establishment in Redcar on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality mathematics education, fostering a positive learning environment that supports the academic progress and personal development of pupils. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school policies. Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records of attainment and behaviour. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and enthusiasm for mathematics. Implement appropriate differentiation strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space. Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil development and address any concerns. Participate in departmental and staff meetings, contributing to curriculum development and school initiatives. Maintain professional standards in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements. Required Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. Education and Experience Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary school level. Familiarity with the national curriculum and examination requirements. Experience in planning lessons and assessing pupil progress effectively.
