We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton.
About the role
HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678, a training facility with 7 wings. As a Paramedic you will be based within the healthcare department and will also be required to work on the prison wings.
Hours
* Monday – Sunday service – 37.5 hours per week
* Weekdays – 7:00 am to 6:30 pm
* Weekends – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm – every other weekend
* 8‑week rolling rota
Salary
Full time, you will receive an annual salary between £34,428 and £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them – focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary and acute needs.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor Injuries/Illness.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
