Service: Health and Social Care Partnership
We are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Mental Health Officer (MHO) within Argyll and Bute.
The post sits within an integrated Community Mental Health Team and the successful candidate will be required to undertake all statutory duties associated with the MHO role in accordance with the relevant legislation.
This presents an exciting opportunity to gain experience and confidence in MHO work and the team, whilst busy, is supportive and well-established.
Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities.
This post also involves carrying out the duties and responsibilities of an MHO. These include working on relevant events connected to the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003, the Criminal Procedures (Scotland) Act 1995 and in the context of the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
Participation in the Day and SWES Out of Hours MHO Rotas is a requirement of this post.
