We are seeking an Offsite Fabrication Workshop Operative to join our Shipley-based workshop. The role involves manufacturing and assembling metal frames and support structures for cable management systems, working to drawings, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble metal frames, supports, and brackets
Measure, mark out, cut, drill, and assemble components to drawings
Operate workshop machinery and hand tools (band saws, drills, grinders)
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
Prepare materials, assist with stock control, and package finished frames
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines
Skills & Experience Essential
Experience in a fabrication or engineering workshop
Competent using hand tools and basic fabrication equipment
Ability to work accurately from drawings
Strong awareness of workshop health & safety
Desirable
Experience with cable management systems or similar steelwork
Ability to read technical drawings
Forklift (counterbalance) licence
