Description Supporting climbing wall operations (May entail cover for short notice absences and surge in demand). This will include instruction to students, staff, public members and children. Instructors will be expected to deliver safe, engaging and inspiring sessions to their participants. Role may also entail some cleaning and maintenance and attendance on site specific training. Start Date: September 2025 End Date: 31st August 2026 (with the possibility to be extended for another academic year) Working Hours: Casual Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour plus holiday pay Location: David Ross Sports Village Dress Code: UoN Sport Staff Uniform (Issued on Recruitment) The duties will include: Assisting with climbing sessions as part of the DRSV Climbing Wall program. This can include students, staff, members of the public and children (schools, community groups and NICAS Academy) May be requested to support climbing wall team with maintenance and route setting subject to qualifications and experience. Attendance on site specific training sessions Skills and experience required for the role: Be a passionate and enthusiastic climber, friendly and approachable who has been climbing for at least 12 months Ideally on the Climbing Instructor pathway Able to communicate with a broad range of customers Happy to work as part of a wider team subject to qualifications and experience What you can expect to gain during this role: Great opportunity to learn and develop your teaching skills Application Instructions: Application Closing Date : 30 November 2025 Please be aware you must upload your CV and relevant climbing qualifications (if you have qualifications) We will continue to accept applications until this date.
