Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.\n\nOur justice system defends our fundamental rights and freedoms. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.\n\nOur public sector client is looking for a temporary employee to join their team as an Executive Officer - Team Leader. This is initially a temporary role until December 2025. There may be chance of an extension, but this will be down to business need.
This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. Usual working hours will be 9-5. The pay rate for this role is £14.66 ph - paid on a weekly basis.\n\nThis role is fully office based, due to the nature of the work.
The office is located in LS1 3BG.\n\nIn this role you will be leading a team and ensuring a smooth running of the court services. Your day-to-day duties will include but won't be restricted to:\n\nLead a team of staff ensuring that its members are organised and fully skilled to meet their work objectives. Effectively managing both team and individual performance, addressing any issues as they arise, in line with HR policy\nAssign responsibilities for action and monitoring progress against plans.\nEnsure that performance management and reward & recognition systems are utilised effectively throughout area of responsibility, ensuring consistent standards through bench marking and encouraging/ rewarding good ideas and creativity\nPlan, co-ordinate and organise training and development for staff.
Ensuring that learning and development needs of all staff, including inductees, are identified and met\nIdentify staff potential and develop in line with business and individual needs\nIdentify recruitment needs and retention issues, assessing resource requirements against demands\nBe responsible for health and safety issues for the team and their immediate working environment\nTake a lead in employee engagement activities to maintain good working relationships with staff and to improve service delivery and staff morale / motivation.\nEnsure staff are aware of HMCTS strategic objectives and are updated in relation to corporate messages. \n\nThe successful candidate for the role will have team leading/management experience. \n\nThe successful candidate for this role will be subject to a Basic DBS check and referencing.
