Level 2 Early Years Practitioner
Salary: £24,796‑£26,824 fulltime TTO pro rata (approximate actual salary £21,774)
Start Date: September 2026
The role: You will work within our Nursery provision, supporting the Nursery Teacher and working closely with our Senior Leader for EYFS and the wider Early Years team. You will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, play‑based EYFS curriculum across all seven areas of learning, with a strong emphasis on Communication and Language and Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED). High‑quality free‑flow, all‑weather outdoor learning is a core part of our practice and is non‑negotiable. You will help create a safe, stimulating and enabling environment where children feel secure, confident and motivated to learn through purposeful play.
What we are looking for
* Holds a full and relevant Early Years qualification at the appropriate Level and has experience working within the EYFS, ideally in nursery.
* Has a secure understanding of child development and what high‑quality Early Years practice looks like in action.
* Is passionate about play‑based learning, outdoor provision and high‑quality adult‑child interactions.
* Can build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues, recognising that many families speak English as an additional language.
* Can contribute to observations, assessment and identifying next steps to support children’s progress from their starting points.
* Supports children’s language development, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour, in line with EYFS expectations.
* Is keen to work as part of a collaborative EYFS team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
