Supporting student mental health is the highest priority for the University of Sunderland. The Student Wellbeing team provide a wide range of innovative mental health support for our students. We work closely with our students, colleagues and partners to ensure the best possible health and wellbeing support.
We have an exciting opportunity for two Full time positions for Wellbeing Advisers to join our team on a fixed-term basis (18 months), with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent, subject to future service needs.
About the role
This role sits within our Student Wellbeing Service, which is part of Student Support, positioned under the wider Student Journey. It provides a fantastic opportunity for the right person with the required skills and experience to really make a difference to the lives of students at the University of Sunderland. Student Support is a multidisciplinary team supporting all students across their journey. Together we support and enable our learners to get the very best from their University of Sunderland experience, offering an outstanding personalised service to help them to achieve their potential.
What you can bring
We are looking for individuals with significant experience providing emotional and psychological wellbeing to individuals with experience in delivering workshops and groups, supporting the development of life skills and the promotion of resilience.
You will be effective in providing initial assessment sessions and low intensity follow up support, as well as delivering health promotion and wellbeing campaigns across the University, promoting wellbeing to staff and students.
