Responsibilities
* Monitoring vital signs, symptoms and condition of residents.
* Administering medication, giving prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
* Creating care plans, developing personalised plan based on physician input and patient needs.
* Educating patients and families, explaining diagnoses, treatments, medications, and home care instructions.
* Providing emotional support, helping patients and families cope with illness or injury.
* Promoting health and wellness, offering guidance on nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
* Communicating with doctors, therapists, and other nurses.
* Keeping accurate records of patient history, treatments, and progress.
* Ensure adherence to infection control, health and safety, and regulatory standards.
* Report concerns about abuse or neglect in line with safeguarding procedures.
* Participate in audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Offer emotional support to residents and their families.
* Act as an advocate for residents rights and preferences, especially those with limited communication abilities or cognitive decline.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Nursing role within a home setting or within domiciliary care.
* Valid NMC Pin.
* Nursing Diploma.
* Medication Administration Training is essential.
* A compassionate, patient and caring nature.
* Ability and flexibility and comfortable working in fast changing environment.
* Being dependable and committed to patient care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
* Enhanced Adults and Childrens DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
* A full UK Drivers Licence is desirable.
