The Role As Planning Manager, you will take ownership of planning matters across multiple sites, from early-stage land acquisition through to delivery. Key responsibilities include: Leading planning strategy for new and existing residential developments Managing the preparation, submission, and negotiation of planning applications Promoting strategic land through the Local Plan process Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants Managing external planning consultants and multidisciplinary teams Advising internal teams on planning risk, policy, and site constraints Supporting land acquisition through planning due diligence Representing the business at planning committees, hearings, and consultations About You Significant experience within town planning, ideally within a housebuilder or consultancy environment Strong understanding of the UK planning system and residential development process Proven track record of securing planning permissions for housing schemes Experience in land promotion and strategic planning is highly desirable MRTPI qualified (or working towards) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach Salary & Benefits £55,000 – £70,000 basic salary (depending on experience) Annual bonus scheme Car allowance or company car Private healthcare Pension scheme Hybrid working arrangements Strong career progression within a well-established housebuilder
