About the Role:
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for covering classes in the absence of permanent staff, maintaining pupil engagement, and delivering planned lessons. Your role will be vital in ensuring a smooth learning experience for pupils across key stages.
Job Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line across a range of primary year groups curriculum.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
* Use a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches as necessary.
* Foster positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and school leadership teams to enhance student learning.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.
Job Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience as a Primary Supply Teacher in a primary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging high-quality lessons.
* Experience working with children of varying abilities, including those with SEN (desirable but not essential).
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
