Join to apply for the HGV Technician - Glasgow West role at Volvo Trucks.
As part of our team at Volvo you will work a 40.5 hour per week, up to £20 per hour with overtime and quarterly bonus and fantastic earning potential. Shift pattern is on a rotational basis.
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday - Wednesday 07:00 - 19:00; Thursday 07:00 - 13:00.
Week 2: Wednesday - Friday 07:00 - 19:00; Saturday 07:00 - 13:00.
Who are you?
Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs, or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?
The Role – responsibilities
* Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
* Assist in the fault diagnosis process
* Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
* Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
* Assist with roadside breakdowns
* Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
* Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
* Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
* Help in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
