About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Chef or Cook to join a well:established contract catering team at a site near Alnwick. This is an excellent permanent opportunity, perfect for an experienced contract caterer or a Commis Chef from a hotel or pub background who is seeking a better work:life balance in a structured kitchen environment. We welcome applications from all levels, including junior and apprentice chefs with a passion for cooking.

Pay: Competitive rate of circa GBP13 per hour/GBP25,350 pounds

Hours: Consistent 7.5:hour shifts (plus break).

Schedule: 5:day working week on a rota basis, with occasional weekend work (approximately 1 in 5).

Environment: Stable and supportive contract catering setting.
The Role:
As part of a small, supportive kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high:quality meals according to set recipes and presentation standards. Your key duties will include ensuring consistent portion control and maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene at all times.
What We Are Looking For:

A solid foundation in basic cooking skills and a genuine enthusiasm for food.

The ability to consistently follow recipes and adhere to established kitchen processes.

Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, particularly in contract catering or other high:volume settings.

A reliable, punctual, and positive team player.

Essential: You must live within a commutable distance of the Alnwick area.
