About The Role
Looking for an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in managing Northumbrian Water's strategic water and wastewater systems? As a vital part of our Regional Control Centre, you'll be at the heart of ensuring seamless operations while coordinating out-of-hours activities alongside a dedicated 24-hour shift team.
Your responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day management and optimisation of the water and wastewater networks, ensuring that every decision balances cost, resilience, water quality, and customer service. You'll work closely with field teams to monitor operations, manage alarms, and respond swiftly to any emerging situations, always prioritising the customer experience. Additionally, you'll be the key point of contact for emergency customer service outside regular hours, helping to maintain our exceptional standards.
This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on essential water/wastewater services, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. If you're ready to take on a dynamic role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
About You
Thriving under pressure and maintaining a methodical, professional approach is key to success in this role. You’ll have the ability to assess situations with clarity, prioritise tasks based on severity, impact, and cost to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your technical expertise will be crucial in understanding and navigating complex control systems, so you will have the ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and stakeholders alike.
Beyond technical skills, you’ll have exceptional customer service skills. Whether managing operational challenges or assisting customers out of hours, your ability to engage professionally and provide solutions will make a real difference.
