Principle Engineer

Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principle Engineer to join a globally recognised aerospace company. This role offers the chance to work on development projects within a high-performance engineering team, supporting innovative product design. Key Responsibilities
Manage internal technical projects in line with strategic product development goals
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective project delivery
Provide technical guidance and develop internal engineering capabilities
Report to the Engineering Manager on all aspects of assigned projects including timelines, quality, deliverables, and costs
Support the preparation of proposals and participate in customer and supplier meetings
Coordinate team members working on specific programmes
Support and participate in product certification and qualification test activities
Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation including certification applications
Approve engineering drawings and modifications using CAD (Creo) and data management systems
Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering tools and processes
Identify opportunities for and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in design reviews and other technical meetings
Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all health and safety policiesQualifications and Experience
BSc / BEng / MSc in Mechanical Design Engineering or similar
Proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably Creo) and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
Strong understanding of engineering principles including materials, mechanisms, and electromechanical systems
Extensive experience in the design of electromechanical mechanisms, machines, and actuators
In-depth knowledge of BS8888 drawing standards and GD&T
Strong understanding of bearings, lubrication, and tight-tolerance design
Solid background in gear and actuation system design preferred
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing is advantageous
Experience in the design, testing, and certification of aerospace products is idealBenefits
