Advanced Practitioner – Initial Response Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Initial Response Team to work full time based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

The salary for this permanentAdvanced Practitioner job is up to £47,731 per annum.

Main Duties:

* The Initial Response Team operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the support needs of children and young people. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will manage a smaller caseload, allowing you to provide valuable support and guidance to your fellow social work colleagues.
* Social Work Services: Deliver specialised and expert advice in complex or challenging social care cases. Manage a diverse and complex caseload, ensuring tailored support for children, families, and carers.
* Assessments and Interventions: Lead and conduct assessments or interventions in complex and/or contentious cases. Process referrals and complete assessments per statutory requirements and departmental policies.
* Planning and Implementation: Contribute to the creation and implementation of plans for children in need, children needing protection, children in care, foster carers, adopters, and family support. Collaborate effectively within a professional, family, and foster carer network for individual children, families, an carers.
* Meetings and Conferences: Attend and, when required, lead child protection conferences, statutory reviews, core groups, fostering panels, adoption panels, disruption meetings, and departmental meetings, providing professional input.
* Reports: Prepare high-standard written reports for various settings, including court proceedings.
* Court Representation: Represent the Local Authority in court, provide verbal evidence in public and private proceedings, and justify Local Authority actions. Act as a Local Authority representative during case transfers between authorities.

Key Requirements for this role:

* Possess a degree in Social Work (such as CQSW, CSS, DiPSW, or an equivalent qualification)
* Must be registered with Social Work England
* Significant experience in relation to children and families
* Demonstrated experience in conducting research and generating detailed reports with actionable recommendations
* Experienced in providing coaching or formal mentoring to individuals or teams (desirable)
