NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. It delivers acute, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.


Role

The Respiratory Physiology Service provides routine and specialised services to the population of Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The post holder will perform basic and specialist diagnostic investigations, sterilise equipment, and carry out general administrative duties for the respiratory laboratories within GGCHB. The role may be entered as a trainee position and requires travel to sites across GG C on a rotational basis.


Duration, Location and Working Pattern

This is a permanent, full‑time post of 36 hours per week. The post holder must travel to sites across GG C for diagnostic testing on a rotational basis. Shift pattern will be confirmed at a later stage.


Qualifications and Experience

* BSc Clinical Physiology (preferable) or relevant degree (essential)
* ARTP Part 1 or ARTP Practitioner qualification or equivalent (desirable)
* ARTP Spirometry Certificate (desirable)
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (essential)
* Previous experience working within a health care setting (desirable)

Full training for the scope of the role will be provided. Essential NHS training such as Moving and Handling will also be provided.
