We are inviting applications for the opportunity: 225283 Clinical Psychologist (EG) role at NHS Lothian. Band 8A. Based in Dalkeith (Number 11, Dalkeith). 2 full-time (37hrs) fixed-term posts; part-time hours considered. Midlothian AMH Psychological Therapies Service.
Overview
The department is supported by Royal Edinburgh Associated Services (REAS) and posts are managed within Psychological Therapies. The post holder will work across the Midlothian Psychological Therapies Service with links to wider AMH services and training programmes.
Responsibilities
* Provide a varied individual clinical caseload across the spectrum of psychological and mental health difficulties.
* be supported via individual and group supervision; opportunities to provide supervision within the service.
* Participate in training and service development, including growth of the group programme and development of treatment pathways for a population with complex psychological needs.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across the service and broader NHS Lothian/AMH networks; engage with training programmes such as UoE DClinPsy, UoS CAAP and South of Scotland CBT.
Qualifications and requirements
* Relevant postgraduate qualification on appointment (Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical or Counselling Psychology).
* Eligible for HCPC registration.
* PVG Scheme membership/record (or satisfactory membership/clearance before starting).
* Desirable: eligible to supervise trainees/newly qualified practitioners.

* There are reporting lines to the Service Director of Royal Edinburgh Associated Services; posts are managed within Psychological Therapies.
