Infrastructure Engineer – S. Manchester - £55k

Synaxia Group are exclusively partnered with a highly acquisitive IT Managed Service Provider, supporting their search for an Infrastructure Engineer, who will be the technical lead on client-based projects.
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering solutions to the customers as projects. As such, this is a heavily project focused role with Cloud and Infrastructure projects being the bulk of your day-to-day.
Projects come in different sizes and complexities; the Infrastructure Engineer will often create proposals for customers. These proposals will include multiple phases and deliverables, working across various technologies and milestones.
Responsibilities
* Carry out the design, planning, and execution of IT projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure, network.
* Work with our customers to understand their business needs and propose technical solutions and IT roadmaps.
* Conduct assessments on our customers' IT systems, produce reports, and offer recommendations accordingly.
* Independently and with the sales team, prepare and present proposals to Customers.
* Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
What you need
* Experience working and leading on cloud or infrastructure projects
* Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Remove Desktop Services) experience.
* VMWare vSphere and vSAN experience.
* Experience of Servers Hardware and SANs from multiple vendors (HPE, Dell, Supermicro).
* Any Azure any experience is a major plus.

* Initial 8-12 weeks full-time in the office, before reverting to hybrid working (3 days in)
