Site Supervisor - Highways
As a Site Supervisor - Highways, you will be joining a team that empowers you to take ownership, lead day-to-day activity on site, and see the results of your work improve transport links for thousands of people across West Yorkshire.
What you will be doing each day
In this Site Supervisor - Highways position, you will:
·Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
·Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to keep activities running smoothly and on programme.
·Monitor site compliance with H&S procedures, environmental standards, and relevant legislation.
·Support the site management team with reporting, record-keeping, and project delivery requirements.
·Work across activities such as temporary traffic management, resurfacing, signal junction upgrades, signage, road lighting, minor structures, groundworks and landscaping.
·Contribute to high-quality project outcomes and help drive overall scheme performance.
What you will need to bring
You will be successful in this Site Supervisor - Highways role if you have:
·Experience working on highways or streetworks projects, including surfacing, traffic management, lighting and general civil engineering activities.
·A solid understanding of site processes, safety systems, and handover/close-out procedures.
·SSSTS (or SMSTS achieved/working towards), a valid CSCS card, and relevant highways training.
·Confident IT skills and a proactive attitude towards reporting, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
