Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate AV Production Manager to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality audio-visual production for a range of events, conferences, performances, and special projects. You will work closely with clients, venue partners, and the team to ensure that every technical and creative element is executed to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead AV production projects from brief to completion, including site visits, attending meetings, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. You will manage in-house and freelance crew, ensuring safe working practices and high production values.
* Client Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service throughout the project.
* Technical Oversight: Specify and select equipment for AV-heavy events, integrating audio, lighting, rigging, and staging where necessary.
* Technical Briefing & Advance: Provide detailed briefings to Crew Chiefs for each project, ensuring that plans and expectations are understood. Follow up with written documentation such as plans, drawings, and schedules.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse, technical, and logistics teams to deliver cohesive and impactful productions.
* Budget & Reporting: Track project costs, prepare post-event reports, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven track record in AV production management within live events or related sectors.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Experience in managing multiple demanding projects simultaneously.
* Strong understanding of health and safety practices and relevant regulations.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours when required.
* Initiative-driven and a team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
Technical Skills Required:
* Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including LED screens (Unilumen and Dicolor), video processing, audio, lighting, rigging, and staging.
* Advanced proficiency with Resolume Arena and Resolume Avenue, NovaStar SmartLCT, and NovaStar COEX control systems.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote.
* Extensive experience configuring LED display systems and projection setups, including multi-screen, blended configurations and projection mapping.
* Deep knowledge of Roland Corporation vision mixers and media servers.
* In-depth understanding of video, processing, and playback system integration for bespoke event solutions.
Desirable Skills:
* Ability to draft CAD files.
* Knowledge of Vectorworks and Nomad point-cloud scanning application.
* Familiarity with rental and crewing software such as CurrentRMS or Teamtrack.
* Clean driving license.
