Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join the Peterborough Mental Health Support Team, based in Hampton, Peterborough.
The role delivers evidence‑based early interventions to parents and young people across educational and health care settings, travelling to allocated schools as required.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and develop evidence‑based interventions for children, young people, parents and carers.
* Deliver interventions that address mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety, worries and fears, behaviour issues and low mood.
* Work autonomously in education and health care settings alongside a team of mental health professionals, within the scope of the job description.
* Participate in regular supervision to support ongoing professional development.
* Travel within the area to allocated schools.
* Promote an innovative, flexible approach to supporting children and young people in education settings.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
* Register with BPS or BABCP, or be in the process of obtaining registration.
* Ability to travel around the area to allocated schools.
* Passion for working with children and young people in educational settings.
* Good understanding of evidence‑based early intervention practices.
