Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join the Wallasey & West Wirral adult CMHT at an exciting time of development. The CMHT offers multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention for people with complex mental health needs. You would contribute to ongoing service developments and have the opportunity to influence psychologically informed care and care planning through case discussions, MDT meetings, supervision, training and consultation.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct psychological and neuropsychological assessment and interventions for service users and their families.
* Support the delivery of psychologically informed care and care planning through case discussions and MDT meetings.
* Engage in supervision, training and consultation to support service delivery and professional development.
* Contribute to ongoing service developments, including involvement in the National CMHT Transformation Programme.
* Engage in research and audit as encouraged and supported by the service.
* Develop clinical skills with opportunities for training in therapies, including EMDR or other modalities relevant to service needs.
Offer and Career Progression
The post is offered at Band 8a for those with 1+ years post-qualification experience. Newly-qualified clinicians are encouraged to apply and can start at Band 7 with a preceptorship moving to 8a after demonstrated skills and experience. Part-time hours will also be considered. Access to clinical placements and links with Northwest courses are in place.
