Role Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Derby
Reporting to: Program Manager
The Project: Our customer is a multi-national defence organisation currently in the process of digitalising and transforming the engineering processes across their product life cycle. The transformation includes Digital Twin technology, requiring all enabling technologies and processes from requirements to retirement.
The project aims to evaluate current processes, develop digital processes and tools, and support deployment into projects.
Role Overview:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, developing the roadmap and implementing digitalisation of product design, delivery, and support throughout its lifecycle. You will collaborate with Enterprise IT, Digital Engineering, and domain teams to harmonise architecture levels and align digital capabilities with EA.
This role requires a good understanding of IT tools and policies. Experience in a product design organisation (design-manufacture or design-integrate) would be advantageous. Proficiency in EA modelling frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF, and modelling notations like ArchiMate and BPMN is required.
Certification in TOGAF or similar frameworks is preferred.
You should be able to translate complex concepts into understandable language, possess strong organisational skills, and have experience in agile methodologies. Mentoring experience in EA is highly desirable and critical for successful transformation.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
* Experience as Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect
* Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills
* Knowledge of Architecture Modelling Notations
* Experience or exposure to engineering organisations (mechanical, electronics, software) in automotive, aerospace, or defence domains is advantageous
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication skills for teamwork and documentation, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
* Leadership skills to guide discussions and solutions related to EA and solution deployment
Desired Skills:
* Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
* Experience with agile methodologies in digital transformation projects
* Strong project management skills for handling multiple tasks
* TOGAF Certification
