We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trade counter Assistant to join their busy and customer-focused branch team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and personable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced trade or retail environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable service to customers, while supporting branch sales and profitability. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will ensure customer expectations are consistently met - and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong and effective relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and supplying the correct products
Proactively identify sales opportunities, offering advice and practical solutions
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-merchandised counter area in line with company standards
Accurately complete all sales-related paperwork in accordance with company policies
Liaise with suppliers and other branches/departments as required
Support the Branch/General Manager and colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient branch operations
Maintain a tidy and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety guidelines
Ensure shop stock is clean, clearly labelled, well organised, and report low stock levels to management
Work in full compliance with company policies and procedures
Assist with stock-taking and carry out additional duties as requiredKey Relationships
