We are looking for an experienced and passionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team and lead our whole‑school communication provision.
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering an evidence based Speech & Language Therapy strategy across the school. You will provide expert assessment and intervention for children with a range of communication needs, while leading and supporting a team of therapists and therapy assistants.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Leading the development and delivery of our whole‑school Speech & Language Therapy strategy
2. Providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation for pupils
3. Coordinating and supervising therapy staff, ensuring high‑quality practice
4. Delivering staff training and coaching across pathways
5. Working closely with teaching staff, families and external agencies to embed communication support throughout the school day
6. Contributing to EHCPs, multidisciplinary planning and wider school improvement
What we’re looking for:
7. RCSLT‑recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration
8. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a therapist
9. Strong background working with children and young people with SEND
10. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
11. Confidence in delivering staff training and working collaboratively across teams
12. A flexible, child‑centred, reflective practitioner
