Willing to consider part-time.Start date: ASAPSalary range: competitive salary, share options, plus 5% pension contribution and benefits.The role:As Associate Director for Neptune Infrastructure Associates, you’ll work with clients, partners, colleagues and suppliers, delivering advanced commercial, analytical, partnership and advisory services to renewable energy assets.You’ll take a leading role in ensuring the safe, optimised and compliant management of our client’s renewable energy projects. You’ll proactively engage with and coordinate a wide range of external stakeholders, from graduate to board level, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to budget. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you’ll create effective interfaces within assets, facilitating collaboration among others to achieve successful process implementation.On behalf of our clients, you’ll deliver advanced management of asset-related contracts, including operational, commercial, & partnership agreements, building excellent relations internally & externally and helping to maximise short & long term value for our clients. You’ll always be seeking to improve the quality of your work, and, of course, take pride in the accuracy and effectiveness of the processes you manage.Specific Duties:The Associate Director role is:Asset Management:The day-to-day management of our client’s renewable energy projects, including:Attend and participate in meetings required for smooth operating of projects and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders: Operations committees (typically monthly/quarterly depending on the project). JV alignment meetings. Ad hoc meetings and working groups relating to specific issues arising during the life of the project.Assist client board with engagement with management team for the project and providing challenge around key HSE and performance metrics and planned/unplanned activities.Analyse budget and out-of-budget requests and feed into asset budget approval processes.Review of regular reporting on asset performance/health (ie monthly O&M reports and management accounts). Feedback of key concerns to client and asset team.Review of papers, recommendations etc. in relation to asset operations. Feedback of key concerns to client and asset team.Review of business case model updates. Feedback of key concerns to client team.Identify opportunities for optimisation within assets and drive the delivery on behalf of our clients.Risk management.Contract management and review where required.Complete asset reporting, as agreed with clients.Assist with responding to lender/shareholder/investor queries and reporting requirements.Coordination of service providers and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of agreed scopes of work.Commercial Advisory:From time to time, Neptune Infrastructure Associates carries out bespoke, consulting/advisory projects for renewable energy organisations. The Associate Director:Provides ad hoc support during client investment processes.Leads the delivery of consulting/advisory projects for renewable energy clients.Manages project costs and resources to ensure timely delivery of scope.Other:In addition to the core job deliverables, the Associate Director is expected to:Support in the development and creation of new business systems & processes.Delegate proactively where necessary.Develop, mentor and guide junior team members.Person Specification:The successful person will be expected to demonstrate the following:A passion for delivering the energy transition and playing their part in preventing runaway climate change. Alignment with Neptune Infrastructure Associates’ values.Track record of asset/commercial management of renewable energy assets, including offshore wind, ideally within a renewable energy developer/operator/OEM.Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, typical asset contracts, structures, and the UK subsidy regime.Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen.Experience of managing budgets and ability to gain insights from reading financial statements and models.Outstanding communication and influencing skills: ability to translate complex issues into simple and actionable insights, and to consider other perspectives on topics, both internally and with external stakeholders.Empathetic and positive working style, with the ability to build close working relationships with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.Experienced in project management.Team player: keen to support colleagues at all levels and contribute beyond the scope of the role.Highly proficient with the us of MS Office suite and confident using software packages to produce reports.Interest in digital innovation and implementing tools to boost efficiency and effectiveness across the business.The ability to travel to business meetings in the UK and Northern Europe as required.Personal Values:Neptune Infrastructure Associates’ culture and success rests on the quality of our people.
