Employing over 300 people this is a well established and well known business.Location: RotherhamJob Title: Production ManagerResponsible to: Production and Engineering DirectorReporting positions: Production Department / Hot End ForemenLocation: RotherhamShift Pattern: Days (Monday-Friday)Main Areas of ResponsibilityWorking closely with the Production and Engineering Director to ensure production targets and factory standards are metEnsuring daily/weekly efficiencies are metMinimising the production of quarantine, implementing improvement initiativesInvolvement in sampling on IS MachinesProblem solving on IS Machines on a day to day basisLiaising with the Hot End Change TeamEnsure the supervisory team follows all procedures related to machine operating and factory safety proceduresParticipating in jobs on/jobs off meetingsHeavy involvement in the 4-week plan – liaising with Production and Engineering Director, Planner, Cold End Manager and Engineering ManagerChairing daily production meetingsDaily meetings with Shift Manager and Cold End ForemanProducing weekly summary of productionManaging cost centres for the Hot EndLiaising with the Purchasing DepartmentManaging overtimeManaging Hot End recruitment with individual line managerParticipation with any internal re-structuresInvolvement with Health & Safety e.g. updating risk assessments; manual handling; updating JSI’s; accident investigations; recommending improvementsLiaise with on-site contractorsMonitor Shift Production Supervisor’s Process Control SheetsMonitor absenteeism in the Hot End, including any disciplinaries and grievancesUpdating on any issues with production e.g. glass faultsMonitor and log bottle faults dailyLogging of job specificationsProcess improvement – identifying areas for quality and quantity improvementsProducing a monthly reportIdentifying cost savings within the Hot EndInvestigate reasons why we have not achieved the standard issued in the planAny other reasonable duties as requested within skill setPerson SpecificationExcellent Communication skills at all levelsManagement experience (ILN / Leadership qualification desirable)Manufacturing experienceProcess Control experiencePC literateGlass manufacturing experience (Essential)IS Machine Operator trained (Essential)Bottle fault training (Essential)Mould Design experience (Desirable)At Venatu Recruitment Group, your right to privacy is important to us.
