Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst (Commodity Finance) to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves supporting the business to minimize the Bank's credit-related losses by identifying and reasonably measuring credit risks and mitigants in proposals and reviews.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Provide credit evaluation reports for various credit products, including an overview of transactions, financial and non-financial risk analysis, and key risks identified. Ensure credit transactions comply with credit policies.
2. This position primarily focuses on commodity finance but may also cover other sector credit businesses based on proposals from the front office.
3. Provide effective challenges and guidance to proposals from the Front Office; draft and present credit opinions to the Credit Committee, maintaining an objective and independent view in accordance with the Bank's credit policies. Achieve timely turnaround of credit proposals and reviews.
4. Provide relevant departments with professional risk analysis and appropriate risk mitigation measures promptly.
5. Conduct post-lending management, including monitoring credit ceilings and exposures, financial performance of borrowers, and ensuring all loan conditions are met throughout the loan's life.
6. Perform credit reviews and research industry/customer information for new proposals and annually for existing customers.
7. Proactively monitor industry and sector trends, as well as counterparty risks, for early warning signals.
8. Perform other functions and tasks as required to assist the Department.
Skills Required:
1. Minimum of 7+ years' experience in credit review within Commodity Finance.
2. Deep knowledge of risks and mitigations across different industries, countries, and client types, with strong financial analysis, projection, and stress testing skills.
3. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.
4. Collaborative personality with the ability to work independently.
