About the role
Enfield Youth Justice Service is recruiting an Intensive Youth Support Officer to help us deliver high‑quality, innovative work. We are looking for dedicated individuals committed to achieving the best outcomes for children, young people, their families, and the wider community. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our service.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children subject to an Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS) requirement.
* Visit children in custody and assist with resettlement planning and delivery upon release.
* Develop and deliver structured programmes addressing a range of needs, including offence‑specific interventions and life skills.
* Use a trauma‑informed approach when engaging with young people.
* Provide support, guidance, and advocacy while challenging views and behaviours that may lead to further offending.
* Maintain accurate, timely records in line with national standards.
* Work flexibly across different sites, including:
o Face‑to‑face work in the secure estate
o Office‑based duties
o Home visits
