HOST Manchester is a new style of co-working space created for motivated independent hairdressers, combined with a flexible event space for trade-based events in the hair and beauty industry. The Role
We are looking for a self-reliant, confident, enthusiastic and level-headed Operations Assistant to join our close-knit team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our space meets the highest standards for our independent hairdressers and their clients, helping to create an environment that feels welcoming, professional and inspiring.
You'll need to stay calm under pressure, inspire and encourage our members, and represent HOST with professionalism at all times. This role also involves supporting the business owners to grow membership and ensure our events run seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the owners in the day-to-day running and maintenance of HOST.
· Deliver excellent customer service to hairdressers and their clients.
· Ensure cleanliness, organisation and hygiene standards are upheld throughout the space.
· Assist with the set-up and smooth running of events.
· Carry out the duties of a key holder, including security and opening/closing responsibilities.
Essential Experience
· Minimum 1 year in retail, hospitality or another customer-facing industry.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
· Experience supporting event planning and delivery.

The Details
· Location: Ducie Street, Manchester (3 minutes from Piccadilly Station).
· Hours: 24–30 per week, Monday to Sunday between 8am–8pm (some weekends included).
· Pay: £13.25 per hour.
· Benefits: 28 days holiday pro rata, uniform provided.
